How to get reimbursed for unused Vioxx

Merck will reimburse patients for unused Vioxx. Patients seeking a refund should return any unused Vioxx tablets and oral suspension via regular U.S. mail to the following address:

Patients must include the following information when returning any unused Vioxx tablets and oral suspension:

  1. Name, address and phone number
  2. Unused product in its original pharmacy packaging
  3. Pharmacy receipt corresponding to returned product

Merck says that patients will receive a full refund of the price paid as reflected on their pharmacy receipt, plus the cost of shipping via regular U.S. mail.

From Target Stores

Alternatively, Target stores are inviting anyone with a current prescription for VIOXX to bring their unused prescription along with a receipt to their local Target pharmacy for a refund. Guests need not have purchased their VIOXX prescription at a Target pharmacy to be eligible for a refund. If desired, Target pharmacists will also contact the guests' physician to help them secure an alternate prescription.
