Side effects

Vioxx has the potential to cause serious drug interactions, so be sure your doctor is aware of any other medications you are taking in addition to Vioxx.

Side effects can include:

  • Heart attack
  • Upper respiratory tract infection
  • Diarrhea
  • Nausea
  • Heartburn
  • Swelling of the lower legs or feet
  • High blood pressure

In some very rare cases, serious ulcers and liver damage has occurred in patients taking Vioxx.
